thumbnail table plug in??

    VERY new! I wanted to build a table of thumbnails, where I can click on them and then it will open a new page with the same table of thumbnails, but, with that image then being displayed to the right of it with the blog entry underneath. I have this more or less set up as an html site (NOT wordpress) right now, but am having VERY much trouble intigrating it with wordpress. I Found an example of what I want, however this artist is using moveable type! Here is a link to an example of what I would like to do…Because come on, if moveable type can do it…I KNOW wordpress can do it…here is the link to the site with the example:

    I hope someone can help me with this!! Is there a plug in? or a template available? I do not have the first clue where to start looking.
