    Hello!

WP-Portfolio does not currently support “Custom Sizes”, “Full-Length”, or “Custom Viewport (browser resolution)”.

However, we are currently working on a major overhaul that will add quite a few new features, including all of those. So, if you can hold out for 1-2 months, the new version should be MUCH more powerful. Please note, though, that “Custom Sizes” require an upgraded account with ShrinkTheWeb, if you plan to use the automated screenshot service.

If you are planning to upload your own images or cannot wait for the new release, then you “could” (not recommended to hack core, though) modify the plugin to get a custom size. I’ve never made that modification before and could easily spot where to do it just now, but I know that others have reportedly done it.

I will check through the forum to see if anyone has posted their steps OR dig deeper in the code to point out where you would make that change, should you feel so inclined. 😉

    Best regards,

    Brandon

Quick update: I must have overlooked it, but there is an option in the Portfolio Settings labeled “Custom Thumbnail Size (Width)” that should allow you to enter a custom width. This is using the v1.38 stable, so it may not be present in older versions.

However, I am not 100% certain that it applies to custom uploaded images, although I think that it should. I see that the original developers added a note to that option “This feature requires a STW Paid (Basic or Plus) account with custom thumbnail support.” but ShrinkTheWeb does not require a Basic or PLUS account in order to upgrade for “Custom Size” screenshots and you should not need any kind of ShrinkTheWeb account to upload custom thumbnails. If it does not allow you to have custom sized, custom thumbnails, please let me know because that is an unreported bug. Since we are actively working on this plugin and close to a release, it would be good to get anything like that resolved now.

Please let me know how it does for you.

    Best regards,

    Brandon

For posterity, I wanted to mention that we are finally close to releasing the next stable update of this plugin and it will support “Custom Sizes” PRO Feature from our ShrinkTheWeb service AND it adds a new “Don’t Scale” option to allow for custom uploads of any size.

There is also going to be a new option to show the full images in a lightbox (on clicking of the thumbnail or resized image).

    Cheers!
