# Thumbnail size

 * An option that has a field for the Thumbnail size that will automatically modify
   the ‘wp_thumbnail_max_side_length’ parameter. Maybe even have a special comment
   field in Themes so the author can state the maximum width of a thumbnail size
   that shows-up next to that box to warn the user to not put in a value bigger 
   than that.
 * Or better yet, make the size variable available in the Browse Image upload box.

 * perhaps you could try the thumbnail manager plugin. I used it and it is very 
   useful!
