 * How do I enhance the quality of my thumbnails (loading large pixel images). I
   am using them in gallery but look awful on the site.

 * You may want to see if your theme is using wordpress thumbnails or if it is using
   a script to resize – A lot of themes use the timthumb or similiar script and 
   it doesn’t always crop very nice!
 * If your theme is just using the default wp thumbnails (one that you set a featured
   image for) then you can change your thumbnail sizes and how they crop in the 
   media settings for wordpress – though you may need to use a plugin like regenerate
   thumbnails to get them all resized.
