    Hi,

I am having the same problem: http://www.prestigepandr.com/test/

The thumbnails are quite blurry. I have your dev version of the plugin installed, as you recommended in one of the threads, and the thumbnail quality set to 100. I have cleared the thumbnail cache.

On the gallery edit page, I have the thumbnail size set to 300 wide x 200 high and the crop thumbnail to exact dimensions box unchecked. (It does not make any difference whether it is checked or not).

On another page (http://www.prestigepandr.com/portfolio/) I have used the native WordPress Gallery and the thumbs are much clearer…

Any ideas on how to improve the FooGallery thumb quality?
    Thanks in advance!

@barbcpeter – i had a look at your page and the thumbs seem ok – are you still having this issue?

Yes, there is definitely still an issue.

If you flip between these two pages, you will see that the native WP thumbs are much clearer than the foo gallery thumbs:

    Native gallery: http://www.prestigepandr.com/portfolio/

    Foo gallery: http://www.prestigepandr.com/test/

The white house looks especially blurry….

    Thanks for the help!

I’m having the same issue and am also using the dev version of the plugin with thumbnails set to 100% quality. FooGallery used to create perfect thumbnails. Help!

I may have just resolved this issue on my site, so thought I’d post what steps I took to do so for the benefit of others coming across this thread. In my site’s Media settings, the thumbnails were set to 200 pixels. Inside Foo Gallery, I want them to be 250 pixels. I changed the Media default to be 250 as well, and then recreated the galley and the thumbnail quality is now pretty good. It seems like the WordPress default size was what was being used as the thumbnail size and then perhaps Foo Gallery was enlarging them up to 250. Hope this helps anyone else…

Thanks for that info, but it didn’t help in my instance.
    Here are my settings:
Media settings — thumbnail max size: 300px W x 300px H. Crop to exact size box unchecked.

Foo Gallery settings: 300px W x 200px H. Crop box unchecked or checked (makes no difference).

The size of the uploaded images from which the thumbs are being generated is 600px x 400px.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance

I am also having this problem. I am doing initial tests on Foo Gallery
so am using the main plug in version. It worked Ok at first but now the actual and previewed thumbs in the configurator are very pixellated.
I’ve cleared the thumbnail cache several times.
It started happening when I installed and activated the free Foo Album and LightBox extensions. When I disable the Album extension, it reverts back to normal thumbnails with no pixellation.
    That is causing the problem!
