• The thumbnail gallery loads correctly at first, then duplicate images load below the original thumbnail place holder. See example:

Another anomaly is the url structure:
    /galleries/?isp_gall=0 ending with (?isp_gall=0)

We rolled back the plugin update, and followed instructions on similar posts, to no avail….

We would prefer not to switch to a different gallery plugin if at all possible.

  • @janaobx Have you tried deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the culprit. You should also switch to a Twenty series theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

This is working, busy, website. We are attempting to avoid the time intensive process you described above.

Downgraded the version back to 2.0.40 because the developer of Innovation+Science 2 recommended this will work:

    http://themeforest.net/item/innovationscience-2-advanced-wordpress-theme/93906/comments?filter=all&term=nextgen+gallery+fix&utf8=%E2%9C%93

After following the protocol of downgrading, the dashboard shows two NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati plugins listed. Can we delete one of them w/out deleting any of the established galleries?

The theme developer also made this recommendation:
“A small change in the plugin options might be needed. In section Gallery > Other Options > Lightbox Effects select option “No Lightbox”

So as I attempted to edit the Lightbox Effect, I encountered a blank page, http://./?page=ngg_other_options

Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated, especially if it doesn’t require down time for the site.

    Thank you.

@janaobx – Downgrading to NextGEN Gallery 2.0.40 has put your site three(3!) security releases (2.0.65, 2.0.66, and 2.0.66.17) … I would not recommend staying at that old version and ask your theme author why you must use NextGEN Gallery 2.0.40 for it to work with their theme.

You can update to the latest release (this morning) and try turning off the Lightbox if that helps.

    Thanks!

I did update the NGG to the latest version, and now access to control settings has returned. I have left a question as to how we might disable the IS2 gallery setting and exclusively use NGG in its place here: http://themeforest.net/item/innovationscience-2-advanced-wordpress-theme/93906/comments?page=46&filter=all#comment_7448727

@janaobx – Thanks for the update. That definitely does seem like the better place to sort out that particular idea.

Let us know if there is anything we an help with.
