Support » Plugin: Posts in Sidebar » Thumbnail as link backround

  • Resolved Alexander

There is an old version of the “Posts in Sidebar” on my client’s website. And here is the code that I see for posts images:

    <p class="pis-thumbnail">	<a style="background-image:url( );" class="pis-thumbnail-link" href="/interer-i-dizayn-pomeshheniya-zachem-nuzhna-vizualizatsiya/" title="Permalink to Интерьер и дизайн помещения. Зачем нужна визуализация?" rel="bookmark">
    		<img width="150" height="150" src="/wp-content/uploads/vizalizatsiya-gostinoy-150x150.jpg" class="pis-thumbnail-img wp-post-image" alt="визализация гостиной"></a>

Now I’m working at the website on test server. I updated the plugin and now I dont’know how to implement the same (<a style="background-image:url(...) on the new version. I coul see an old website but I have no access because of viruses.

    Thanks for the answer!

you can add styles using your CSS stylesheet or even using the dedicated panel in widget admin (see panel Styles > Custom Styles). But in this way you will change all the instances of a class, for example .pis-thumbnail.

Since style="background-image:url(...) is a local style, perhaps who worked on that site edited the original plugin’s files or he used Javascript to add local styles.

Verify this and let me know.

If I could see the site, I would be more helpful.

I’m marking the thread as solved for now.
