Hmm, the search box in Twenty Eleven doesn’t work for me at all. With Twenty Ten, Relevanssi Premium and ThreeWP Ajax Search 1.2 the combo works for me.

Okay, the author of my theme (Striking) has recommended code, and now it works! Sort of. I was expecting that the AJAX would autocomplete possible search terms after you enter the first few characters in the search box, but what it does is display titles of related posts, even though you don’t necessarily know what it’s searching under! (I suppose it’s searching under the few characters you enter?) Would appreciate clarification, and many thanks again.

Relevanssi doesn’t search with just one or two characters, it requires at least three.

Thanks. But editing the ThreeWP Ajax to, say, four characters minimum before the Ajax search activates doesn’t change the behavior I noted above. Perhaps there is no Relevanssi-compatible Ajax plugin that does an autocomplete based on Relevanssi’s index?

That’s possible. Relevanssi doesn’t work at all like WordPress search does, so it’s not a huge surprise.
