  • I believe utf-8 is default. does that not import properly?

    this is old but unresolved… I am using excel and there is no option to save under utf-8 encoding… I just assumed that was the default… is there another option here?

    actually what is happening is that the non-english portions of the title are not being imported… so if the title is “عمر1”.. it only renders “1”…

    Also, tags are not being imported.. I’m not sure if this is also a unicode issue…

    The post body does import fine though!

    I’m creating CSV files with Excel, and I’ve seen this issue importing content with Spanish special characters.

    The work around that I’m using (since I can’t get Excel to save to UTF-8) is to open the CSV file in good ol’ Notepad (on Windows) and do a Save As. In the dialog box, you can switch from ANSI to UTF-8, and special characters are no longer an issue.
