Since applying your latest update, my 404 log has been flooded with errors for wp-recipe-maker, on literally EVERY PAGE OR POST on my site, regardless of whether or not that page contains a recipe. The 404 errors are all looking for

    ”/wp-content/plugins/wp-recipe-maker/templates/divi/styles/style.min.css”

I have re-saved the permalink structure as your FAQ suggests. I have purged cache at every level possible (Autoptimize, WP-Super-Cache, NGINX, and Cloudflare). Still the error persists.

This has never happened with one of your updates before, but it is so bad, we are considering dropping your plugin altogether. What do I need to do to fix this error?

I created the missing directory and an empty file to go in it.

This is not a permanent solution, but it has stopped the torrent of 404 errors.

    Hi there,

Thanks for letting me know! I had not noticed Divi was trying to load a CSS file that doesn’t exist in (and isn’t needed for) our module. As the error only shows up in the JS console when using Divi (which I generally do not use myself), I did not notice that before.

I just released version 9.7.2 to fix things. Could you confirm if that solves things for you?

I do apologise for the inconvenience, but apart from the entries in the log, this issue should not have had any other impact.

    Kind regards,
    Brecht

    I’ve applied the update.

There is still a “styles” subdirectory under divi, and now there are two zero-byte files in it.

    style-dbp.min.css and style.min.css

I had previously created the second file myself, but it looks like the plugin install created the files and directory again. Is that expected behavior? Should I just leave those files and directory alone?

(I forgot to delete my own mod before applying your update.)

In any case, the rapid accumulation of 404 errors has stopped, so it seems to work.

Yes, that’s essentially what I did: add that empty folder and those empty files, as Divi seems to want to load something, even if not required.

Do let me know if you experience any further issues at all!
