Thmbnails greyed out in accordions

Photo Gallery works beautifully on most pages and posts. But when placed within an accordion block the thumbnails are greyed out. They still open Lightbox when clicked and the Lightbox display works perfectly.

I have cleared the browser cache and used Chrome, Firefox and Edge on a PC. WordPress version: 5.6.2 Maintenance Release. All plugins are up to date.

I have tried two different accordion plugins: ‘Accordion blocks’ and ‘Responsive Accordion and Collapse’ and the problem is identical in both cases. Clearly there is a conflict between accordions and the galleries and I just hope there is a way to resolve it.
