Support » Plugin: Reusable Text Blocks » This works well, but is the content indexed for search?

  • The content generated by the shortcode doesn’t seem to be searchable by the default wordpress search function or the search everything plugin. Perhaps some other form of site search is needed? The plugin works great and was a smooth install, except if the content isn’t picked up in a search it seems not as useful for my purposes. In any case, cheers for a good functionality plugin!

    This is possible with a filter. You can add this function to your functions.php file found in your theme folder:

    function hg_text_blocks_post_type_args( $args )
    {
    	$args['public'] = true;
    	$args['exclude_from_search'] = false;
    	return $args;
    }
    add_filter('text_blocks_post_type_args', 'hg_text_blocks_post_type_args');

    I had to go save my permalinks again to make it work under ‘Settings’ ->’Permalinks’

    Hope this helps,
    Hal

    Thank you very much, works like a charm!
