I have an established self-hosted WordPress-based site. I am attempting to install Woocommerce. I’ve done the products (etc) and am attempting to move on to the payments. Woocommerce expects me to sync with my WordPress.com account I get the message “This WordPress.com account is already connected to another user on this site. Please login to another WordPress.com account to complete the connection”.

So I logged in to WordPress.com and sure enough, associated with my login (the same credentials I just tried to sync with) is the website I’m attempting to work on. I am logged in to my website with the same credentials that I’ve just used to log in to WordPress.com with.

NB. Jetpack is installed on the site, same user logged in

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey there, @brennig! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

Just to confirm, yours is the only user currently on the website, correct?

Can you try completely deleting the Jetpack plugin and reinstalling and seeing if you’re then able to connect?

Please let us know how it goes.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hello CarolM.

Thank you for your response. What I did was deactivate and then delete the Jetpack plugin. Then I tried to set up Woocommerce payments again and… it worked! Thank you for your assistance. I appreciate your help.
