This webpage has a redirect loop – ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

I got following warning while deactivating better-wp-security plugin:

also, while plugin is activated, it causes infinite loop between http and https URLs on my phone (Nexus 6P w/ Android M) and also my Linux workstation using Chrome browser on both platforms with following message:

This webpage has a redirect loop

ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

as soon I disable plugin loop goes away, and this all start to happening right after I update home and siteurl to https instead of http URL to “secure” my blog)
