I get emails every week from this plugin saying it sent over 500+ emails, that is absurd and concerning. There’s no way I get that much traffic. I can’t view the reports or logs for it because it requires me to pay for it.

Don’t waste your time with this plugin. Most of the reviews here are fake.

    Hi, @toasticuss.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and we apologize for any confusion with this!

Please kindly know, that the “Weekly Email Summaries” report shows a summary of all sent emails from your WordPress site after activation of the WP Mail SMTP plugin.

Whenever your website executes the wp_mail() function, it will count as an email notification. Please note, that the WP Mail SMTP plugin uses the wp_mail() function. And any email sent through the wp_mail() function on the website will be routed through our plugin.

    These emails could be:

    – WordPress user registration emails.
    – WordPress reset password emails.
    – Form email notifications (for example contact forms, quotation forms, and payment forms created using the WPForms plugin, Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, or similar plugins).
    – Order notification emails (if you have an eCommerce store set up on your site).
    – WordPress comment management emails.
    – WordPress plugin notifications (e.g. update notifications, etc.).

You can use the WP Mail Logging plugin as a companion tool to check what emails are sent from the website.

    Kind regards.
