Please help me with that error.

In the frontend where I put [gallery type="slideshow"] the error This slideshow requires JavaScript shows up.

I successfully install and active Jetpach plugin and also activate Curousel feature in wp dashboard.
    Develop own theme.

    Hello,

this is URL od post where slideshow should be displayed:

    http://adria.devpassion.eu/ppp/

Post is under construction so it is a mess right there.
Under title (PPP in this case) I put: echo do_shortcode(‘[gallery type="slideshow"]‘); in template content.php

Do you experience similar issues when you add slideshow directly into the page content?

Yes it is same. I add directly to content. Post I added:

Is it possible that I miss some js scripts. Something functions to include maybe?
I’m just download, install and activate the plugin. Maybe need something more? Maybe some js include i header?

Could you check that your theme includes the wp_head and wp_footer functions?

    ahhh.. that’s it. I can’t believe it :). I did not include wp_footer function.

Jeremy you save me a lot of hours and nights 🙂 thanks a lot !!!

I am getting the same error, but i am using a theme i purchased. When you say make sure theme includes the wp_footer functions where are you setting this? I could not find the function in the functions.php file.

you must include wp_footer in footer.php if you use it.
Just put <?php wp_footer(); ?> in the end of footer.php right before </body></html>.
Let me know if you need some more help.

Hi Srdan, thanks for prompt reply. I checked my footer.php and it has the code you mentioned and it specifically makes mention that it is included to ensure word press features work.

<?php wp_footer(); ?> <!– this is used by many WordPress features and for plugins to work properly –>

    It must be something else?

Hi Jeremy, thanks for taking a look. Here is a page with a slideshow.

    Gallery Ceremonies

This is driving me crazy as well.

It seems to be a problem all over the web but with no real answers of how to fix it.

@theonlymann I had a look at your site, and your theme, “theme1506”, seems to be loading an old version of jQuery instead of using the version that comes bundled with WordPress.

It can create multiple conflicts with WordPress and with other plugins like Jetpack. You can read more about it here:
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/troubleshooting-wordpress-35-master-list?replies=4#post-3547424

You’ll want to look for the function loading jQuery in your theme’s header.php file, or in the functions.php file. Once you find that function, you can remove it and enqueue the proper version of jQuery as explained here:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_enqueue_script

If you do not feel comfortable editing PHP files, you can also contact the theme or plugin author and ask them to solve the issue.

@erikzett I’d be happy to help, but I would need to know your site URL to be able to investigate further.

Jereme, I’m having the same issue. Please help. Here’s the page on my site:

    Thanks.
