Support » Plugin: WP Social Post And Widget » This plugin takes your passwords and doesn’t post to IG!

  • Do not! I repeat do not install this plugin from this developer because it will take your password for instagram and try to log into your account from Scottsdale, AZ. It triggers an IG account flag which makes you have to change your password. I did it twice not realizing it was this plugin taking my account information and trying to log in with the new IG password I created. I don’t want to give it access to my account and not know it is supposed to do that or not. So for me better to be safe than sorry. I hope there is another plugin available that will post to IG for WP.
    Uninstalled!!!

You are using your Instagram username and password from your website through this plugin and your web server is in a country that you don’t normally log in from.
Instagram detects login location as your web server location and asks you if it was you?

It’s not anyone else but your web server which is trying to login.

Simply login to your account via the official website or your mobile device – that should fix it. If you still face the issue again, it means Instagram dislikes your server’s IP and that you must login to your account via Instagram’s website and your server’s IP to prove to them that your server’s IP is a human.

After getting your message I have reinstalled the plugin and it has finally worked for me. Thanks you so much. There is one additional issue I am having with it thus far:

When the plug in posts to IG it posts almost the whole blog post. How do you change this? Or when you actually enter something in the box in the right nav when you are creating your post it will use that instead of the blog post?

    Thanks

Currently it takes almost 200 words from post. But in next versions, we will let user to select these kind of options. A lot more features are in queue for future.

Hope you will revise your ratings now.
    Thanks
