I use this plugin on several websites I run, but every update is causing my site to stop working. I set autoupdate DB to none, yet every update messes with my website, it gives me errors, which requires me to make the cache file writable, AGAIN, and now it also adds and error saying something about an error “Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /usr/home/deb22313/domains/springhaze.com/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/browscap.php on line 255”

I like the plugin for being so complete, but I am just getting so tired of all the stress it causes me whenever I update.

To add: I added my own IP address to be ignored. I only learned about the errors because others told me. I used several browsers and even switched users on the computer, but I only got to see the error when I removed my IP address from the list. So for days my website was inaccessible without me knowing because it didn’t show me those cache errors.

For now I’ve deactivated the plugin, as great as it was. It has caused too many troubles too many times. Might be something I do wrong, I just give up for now though.

    Hi there,

it looks like your cache folder inside wp-slimstat is not writable, you have a file cache.php missing in there. Please change the permissions so that your webserver can write in that folder. I’ve fixed the problem in version 2.4.2 by adding a “standard” cache.php to the archive.

As for the autoupdate DB, that only disables the updating of cache.php, not the entire plugin.

    Thanks,
    Camu
