This is the problem with being an amateur webmaster – even when you are technically proficient, you don’t do it for a living, so you screw up. Even if you (sort of) do it for a living, you don’t necessarily provide the sort of time consuming caution to your home projects as to your work stuff.

Duplicator will save your ass. Make frequent backups!
