This plugin does not work at all

After installing and getting things going, I tried to set the automatic settings up. After failing to get it to work numerous times, I tried to do a manual setup for 1 post only. When I did this I discovered that the only way to make posts expire through manual configuration is to go back in time 50 years because the dates given to expire were long before this plugin was ever made.
