    Hello,

    After the Plugin Update I got an error:

    “This plugin could not be loaded properly and will be stopped in recovery mode.”

    An error of type E_PARSE was caused on line 39 of /path-to-my-website.de/wp-content/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/classes/AlertFormatterFactory.php. Error message: syntax error, unexpected ‘->’ (T_OBJECT_OPERATOR)`

    Somehow this slipped through the cracks. What version of PHP are you running please? This seems to be like PHP compatibility issue.

    Hi Robert,

    thanks for your reply. Really a strange behavior on the hosting account. A few month ago I set PHP to Version 7.4. A few minutes ago I logged in and PHP was set to Version 5.6.

    I set it to 7.4 again and activated WP activity log again. See what will happen in the near future.

    These things happen. Please let me know if you’ve been able to use the plugin since you’ve switched to a more recent version of PHP.
