Support » Plugin: Test jQuery Updates » This plugin breaks the ACF-VC bridge plugin

  • Hi,
    I Installed the plugin on a staging site to test the Jquery compatibility and this happened :
    Une erreur de type E_ERROR a été causée dans la ligne 181 du fichier /var/www/didier/ Message d’erreur : Uncaught Error: <strong>Call to undefined function acf_add_options_page()</strong> in /var/www/didier/ Stack trace: #0 /var/www/didier/ WpAcfVcBridge->configure() #1 /var/www/didier/ WpAcfVcBridge->includeComponents() #2 /var/www/didier/ WpAcfVcBridge->__construct() #3 /var/www/didier/ WpAcfVcBridge::instance() #4 /var/www/didier/ include_once('/var/www/didier...') #5 /var/www/didier/ require_once('/var/www/didier...') #6 /var/www/didier/ require_once('/var/www/didier...') #7 /var/www/didie

    I reached out the the developers of the wp-acf-vc-bridge plugin to let them know (it’s a codeCanyon plugin), but I thought I’d give you the heads up too, since it seems to do something to an ACF pro function, making it unavailable.. (which is frankly very weird)?

    It’s definitely upon the “Test Jquery Updates” plugin activation that the problem occurs (and deactivating it again makes the problem go away).

    It’s not time sensitive for me (staging site, and just wanted to test the installed plugins reactions to different jQuery version), but still if you can come up with a cause, that’d be nice 🙂

    The “important” part of the error is:

    Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function acf_add_options_page() in /var/www/didier/

    The file where the error happens is wp-acf-vc-bridge.php and it happens on line 181.

    Looks like a problem with wp-acf-vc-bridge. I can’t see the source, so no idea what the code is trying to do there…
