  • Can I have a header image that is expanded on the homepage but shrinks up to menu area on child pages?

    Thx

  • Hello,

Can you share a screenshot or referece site what do you want to achieve exactly? I didn’t understand it.

How is this demo done where the image on the homepage is the large one then the header background is different on interior page?

This is probably close enough to what I am looking for.

    Thx

    Hello,

Yes, you can do it. For the home page, disable the title from the OceanWP settings metabox after clicking on the edit page.
Create a Hero Header under Theme Panel > My Library and copy the shortcode.
Now click on edit home page > OceanWP settings metabox > shortcode tab and paste the shortcode in the after header shortcode field.

For the inner page, go to Customize > General Options > Page Title and select Background Image form the Style Dropdown. Now upload an image.

    I have a follow-up.

I defined a slider which has its own shortcode.

I think created a page under Theme Panel > My Library and pasted the slider shortcode there.

I tried to put the shortcode for the slider AND also tried the My Library shortcode. Neither work.

I want the slider to replace the header image on the homepage only.

Ok – I got the slider appearing before the header (after top bar).

However I want the Menu to overlay the slider if that makes sense and the normal header image/background to not be shown on the homepage.

    Hello,

Try to use the transparent header style for this and add the slider below the header to make it work.
