Not sure why this is happening.. I fear it’s a plug in conflict, but I also just updated to the very latest wordpress.

It’s hard to explain and I don’t know what to call this one little button on the back end of my website. But whenever I hit ‘save’ or ‘add to menu’, depending on what it does it does nothing.

This one is in Appearance > Menus. https://imgur.com/M1spRgh
This one is in Appearance > Widgets. https://imgur.com/xlEhoAX

I’m trying to change the menu on my website, and some widget on the second one, but that little button just goes around and around and never ever saves, no matter how many times it’s left to wait or it’s reloaded or tried on different browsers, or different internet connections… nothing makes the changes save.

All plug ins are up to date and my website back end says: You have the latest version of WordPress.
If you need to re-install version 5.0–, …. so that’s the version i have. Thanks!

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

Thank you! I also approached my Theme company, Flothemes at the same time I wrote this post (did not know if was a WordPress issue of a Theme issue). They quickly responded that I needed to activate a plug-in called Really Simple SSL, which I had recently deactivated for some reason. As soon as I activated it again, the little button saved perfectly! Thank you!
