Support » Plugin: Post Type Switcher » Because of this, I can not style “design” my new pages

  • joyloan

4 days ago I installed it and changed a post into a page, this was what I wanted.

But it removed the design part. No matter how hard I tried only text was appearing. I tried different ways to create new pages, but even on new pages I could not achieve the desired design with all methods e.g. manually creating blocks, importing templates, using templates of other pages. Nothing worked. So many errors were coming, either button’s only text would appear, or heading’s would appear with smaller font size and many more

Even after I deactivated this plugin, the design is still behaving crazy and unpredictable.

    1. All the blocks become part of the first block that I create
    2. At few places, only button’s text is appearing
    3. Heading font’s appear at diffrently. (though I have set universal font size for different headings)
    4. Surprisingly when I duplicate heading or button block (so I put where it is not appearing correctly), The new button would appear with the correct size but the old button or heading will get disfigured.

It is happening so randomly that I am not even able to write problem properly.

I think this plugin made some changes in database because of which these errors have become permanent after removing this plugin.

I spent 3 long days trying to correct the appearance of a single page (I created new one, after copy-pasting from my old blog). Yet it is nothing near what I expected. The bigger problem is because it is happening to every new page I try to create, It has become a permanent problem on my website

The only relief is, design of older pages is not distorted.

Can somebody help me correct it?

This plugin makes a single database change to the post_type column, using WordPress’ own set_post_type() function.

It is completely impossible for this plugin alone to cause the experience that you are having. I am sorry that it is happening to you, but it cannot be this plugin’s fault without some other plugin doing something else incorrectly.
