    Hi Ishimew,
Contact us, we’d be happy to try and help you out drive traffic to your polls/quizzes using social channels, it actually works pretty well most of the time,

I was simply saying that your plugin is beautiful and all, but thefact that I have to go “outside” my installation to create a poll beats the whole purpose of having a standalone installation. You can create some sort of third party API that integrates right from my dashboard. I it is NOT convinent for site owners to have to sign up with you and come back to their site.

Got it. The reason we did it that way, is that keeping some of the functionality in an external dashboard offers a lot of flexibility that helps offer better features and a much better service overall. We also try to keep it really easy to use. If there is a problem with that, please feel free to contact us, I’m pretty sure you’ll find it really easy to use. In addition, we plan to enhance the plugin very soon so that might help too, I can notify you when that happens. In any case, thanks for the feedback! O/S Team.

I think you can create a space in the backend where the admin signs in your site without ever leaving theirs. That’s a great way of doing virtually the same thing, but with a completely different mentality. I just find it unWordpress-sy to have to go outside wordpress to come back to wordpress!

fair enough, if you change your mind, please feel free to reach out and we’ll get you up-and-going really quickly, best – O/S team.

I very nearly installed this plugin, but came to check the Reviews to fathom whether it is Data Protection compliant, in the EU. As it transpires that it requires external sign-up, I suspect it may not be, so I, for one, shall not be installing it, but I thought I would feedback why EU website owners/managers can’t go with such an arrangement.

The Data Protection Act: In the UK the Data Protection Act 1998 enacts the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 October 1995 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data

    http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/en/TXT/?uri=CELEX:31995L0046

Here in the United Kingdom, for example, the Data Protection Act controls how your personal information is used by organisations, businesses or the government.

Everyone responsible for using data has to follow strict rules called ‘data protection principles’. They must make sure the information is:

      used fairly and lawfully
used for limited, specifically stated purposes
used in a way that is adequate, relevant and not excessive
      accurate
kept for no longer than is absolutely necessary
handled according to people’s data protection rights
      kept safe and secure
      not transferred out

side the European Economic Area without adequate protection

There is stronger legal protection for more sensitive information, such as:

      ethnic background
      political opinions
      religious beliefs
      health
      sexual health
      criminal records

    https://www.gov.uk/data-protection/the-data-protection-act

This is a more in-depth illustration of what DPA 1998 requires website owners/managers to know and incorporate into their Website and Data collection Policies…

***IT IS AN OFFENCE TO SEND WEBSITE USERS’ PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE THE SHENGEN ECONOMIC AREA AND USERS COULD SUE THE WEBSITE OWNER FOR PUTTING THE SAFETY AND PRIVACY OF THEIR PERSONAL INFORMATION IN JEOPARDY***

You may have to add an explicit warning for these customers.
