    Hello,

I’ve just noticed that I’m unable to view the Defender dashboard.

    This error pops up.

This ideawebserver is not supported yet

I did try a rollback to the previous version, still no resolve.

I’m able to browse the defender settings though.

    Hi @cosminserban19,

    Thank you for contacting us.

Did you currently have the latest 2.4.7 version installed? This may be caused by a restriction from the hosting provider not allowing Defender to make certain changes on wp-config file. Could you verify if you have any type of restriction on server or firewall settings that you can temporarily disable to check? Please also try to clear all cache on server and site.

Let us know how it goes.

    Best,
    Jonathan S

    Hello Jonathan,

    Thank you for your reply.

    I currently have 2.4.7.

I’m not sure exactly what restrictions should I check. The hosting is a shared hosting, provided by Ionos [ hopefully this information helps].

I’ll try the ‘debugging’ feature and I’ll post update if I find anything [ if another plugin is incompatible with Defender].
Edit: I’ve only enabled the Defender in Debug mode, still the same error.

It’s very confusing because the plugin was working before [ 2 weeks ago, I think].

Also, it would help if you could provide a list of things to check.

    Thanks!
    Cristian

    Hello,

    Back, sorry for the delay.

Still, I have not managed to get it running.

I did some digging though, and this ideawebserver is IONOS’s own webserver ( that’s my hosting, ionos.com )

I did try disabling all the other extensions, no resolution.

What’s next? What’s the next step in enabling this type of server and IONOS.com compatibility in DEFENDER?

    Thank you!

    Hi @cosminserban19

    Thank you for the update.

I checked our reported bugs once again and found a recent task that we are going to improve the compatibility to ideawebserver as it is an Apache server.

The planned version is 2.5.1 if all the development and tests work as expected.

Kindly keep the eyes on the plugin updates and changelogs.

    Best Regards
