Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I tried this, but didn’t quite get it to work (site got messed up, the content of the post disappeared.)

Could you please tell me exactly what part of the code I have to move, exactly where?

I would really appreciate it. :)))

Is there any way to move just the date to the top but not the “This entry was posted in (category) by (author)”? I want to leave that below the post and move the date, but not time (I don’t want the time), to above the title.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

To take the date out only, try the plugin “WP Date Remover” by Omar.
Just install and it works right away on twenty twelve.
One thing though is that the label became “This entry was posted in (cateogory) on”
I wish the plugin took the “on” out too because I couldn’t figure out how to take it out.
If anyone knows how to take the “on” out please let me know.
    Thanks!

For some reason “author” does not show up in the “This entry was posted in (category) on (date) by (author)” line below posts.

    Will do, thank you.

Let me amend the question: How do you remove “This entry was posted (date) …” ENTIRELY from a post?

I wonder about this, too. I’d like to be able to move around date, author name, category, tags.

If you last two posters want help, please take the advice above and start your own thread.
