• 1. I tried to skip cropping on the header, it still got cropped.

    2. Why can’t I mess with the sliders?

    3. The columns and sidebars have problems.

    4. Why am I limited to only Google fonts?

On a positive note, customization has a lot of options; though it could use a few more (cf 1-4)

In encouragement; a lot of work went into this (and the kids). That said, a bit more does need to be done.

  • Can you provide links and more description?
I don’t have any reference to your questions.

Set up a test site and try the theme for yourself.

    1. I tried to skip cropping on the header, it still got cropped.

I can’t reproduce this. When I added a header image (and skipped cropping), the image appears fully stretched across the browser window and at the required height to maintain the aspect ratio. Can you post a link to a test site so I can see what might be happening?

    2. Why can’t I mess with the sliders?

The slider(s) are created with a widget called “SG Slider”. The widget looks fairly self-explanatory to me; are you having trouble with a particular part?

    3. The columns and sidebars have problems.

I’ll agree that the theme’s documentation is pretty poor in this regard. What specifically are you having problems with?

    4. Why am I limited to only Google fonts?

This is likely due to WP.org policy; any resources (including fonts) must be licensed under the GPL or a GPL-compatible license to be included with the theme. You can add additional fonts on your own with some custom CSS, though; check out FontSquirrel Generator or https://css-tricks.com/snippets/css/using-font-face/ for more information.
