    WooCommerce : 4.51
    PHP: 7.3.2

    We are using PayPal standard for payments.

    I have orders being changed to canceled, but no payments are making it to PayPal.

    “Unpaid order cancelled – time limit reached. Order status changed from Pending payment to Cancelled.”

    Testing an order I come up against this PayPal message:
    “Things don’t appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later.”

    Next I deleted the setting Hold stock to minutes: 60 to null.
    Under Woocommerce | Settings | Products | Inventory
    Any new order test placed since that change are now set to payment pending instead of Canceled.

    However I am still seeing the Paypal message:
    “Things don’t appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later.”

    There is no caching plugin installed.

    What should be my next step?

    To clarify, all plugins are updated. As far as we know, nothing has changed in Paypal, I’ve had the merchant check.

    Hi @squeaky!

    The “things don’t appear to be working at the moment” error is usually due to a problem with your Paypal account and not with your site.

    I recommend contacting Paypal support regarding your account to see if there are any troubles with it — it could be that your account isn’t fully vetted or it requires an additional setup before payments can be taken.

    Another thing you can check is if you have encrypted website payments enabled from Profile > Selling preferences > Website payment preferences in your Paypal account — if so, please disable it and have another go.
