    hi there!
i just installed the plugin, following the guide steps on the plugin website.

I installed the plugin, I created the files sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz and paste it into the wordpress root folder, and change the permissions to be 777.
Then i activate the plugin and i see directly this error message:
"There was a problem writing your sitemap file. Make sure the file exists and is writable."

I have tried deinstalling the plugin, deleting all the files under /plugins/, reinstaling again, activating plugin again, tried permissions 666 and 777, tried copying both files to the wordpress root folder also to my custom theme root folder...

Nothing happens, still the same error message and when i try to access the file via: http://www.redidea.co.uk/sitemap.xml i get this message: "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below."

    Can anyone help me?

I have another plugin, called All in one SEO pack Version 1.6.13.8...
Maybe, having both is causing problems?

I would appreciate any help, thanks in advance

sorry, the version of wordpress on my site is 3.3.1

  3. Strictly in the interests of becoming more supportable as plugin authors don't like to support really old versions of WordPress could you upgrade?

As always make a full backup before upgrading.

Aside from your plugin issue you're running an exploitable version of WordPress.

    hi there,
the problem, as Jan suggested, must be with the version of wordpress or maybe it is a conflict with All in One SEO pack plugin...
I have used this plugin today in another website using version 3.5.1 and works like a charm.
They only pity thing is the support team :( they dont support...
