    Experiencing a problem with the subscribe box – for some visitors to our blog, a box appears saying ‘There was a problem with the request’ when trying to subscribe.

    I tested this on Chrome and IE and it’s not a browser problem as I could subscribe on Chrome on one computer but not on another. Same with IE – worked for one person but not for another. There isn’t any consistency as to why it seems to work on some people’s computers and not others.

    How do I fix this? (I know a bit of this stuff but mostly a rookie so laymens terms would be appreciated!) Website here: http://www.hsi.org.au/blog

    @kiarahsia,

    When I try to subscribe on your site, I’m seeing following error in browser’s console :
    XMLHttpRequest cannot load https://hsi.org.au/blog/?es=subscribe. No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'http://hsi.org.au' is therefore not allowed access.

    Please check if you have correct file permissions of your WordPress folder (by default, the files and folder permissions should be 644 and 755 respectively).
    Also check with your Server Administrator / Host Provider and ask them about this.
