    Hi

Beacuse you have to dactivate Stream every time you import stuff I get this “There was a problem verifying your site with Stream. Please try again later.” a lot.

Why do I have to verify the site everytime? You have my wp.com account and the URL to the site is not changed

    Very anoying :/

  • Hi Jahrl, thanks for your message.

Stream saves a unique site ID and API key in the database once the site is connected, however, when the plugin is deactivated these keys are removed as a security best practice. This does requires you to connect to Stream again upon reactivating the plugin.

It sounds like there is an opportunity for us to improve the experience by disabling Stream silently during an import process rather then requiring that the plugin be deactivated. This would especially be handy for those who import content on a regular basis.

I’ve created a GitHub issue for this to be investigated and hopefully the experience can be improved.

    Thank you!
