• Hey,
I’m a nonprofit (license available upon request).
Just recently migrated over from Facebook Import to the Events Aggregator, and I can’t import any events! I keep getting the message: “There was an error fetching the results from your import: There may be an issue with the Event Aggregator server. Please try your import again later.”
Yet, these are still counted on my TEC account toward the daily imports…

Running the latest versions of everything…

(Also strange, not sure if related, but since updating to 4.3, I cant set featured images for any events!!)

  • Hey,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

We had a connection issue that should be resolved now, are you still having this issue after the latest releases?

    Thanks!

Hey – Yep, even with 4.3.2 I’m stil; getting the same message…

    Sorry you’re experiencing this.

I’d suggest making sure you don’t have anything in the textbox at wp-admin > Events > Settings > Licenses > Event Aggregator

Assuming you don’t have anything there and you’re still getting this error message, please delete The Events Calendar and install a fresh version from the wp-admin plugin installer.

Deleting The Events Calendar or its add-on plugins will NOT delete any of your data if you delete it via the WordPress plugin manager because that’s how we’ve decided to code our plugin.

FYI: deleting any plugin via FTP or cPanel’s File Manager (i.e. deleting just the files from the server) will also ensure a plugin gets deleted (if you delete the entire plugin folder) without removing any data from the database. This can sometimes be helpful to know in cases where a plugin does run an uninstall routine to delete data (again, our plugins do not run such a routine at this time and probably never will).

You can also see the difference when you click to delete a plugin, like this.

You mean to say I *shouldnt* be using my Event Aggregator license?
