There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

This is the error I receive. I removed the wordpress-seo from my /plugins folder and downloaded Yoast again. After uploading it shows up in the plugins list. I click the activate button and all I see it:

I did NOT install a new plugin or anything. All I did was “update” Yoast which failed and after that I had this error too. So I decided to download a fresh copy, so I did. Still I have this error.

My WordPress version is WordPress 6.1.1.

I tried to put my backup of Yoast plugin back, but again, I press activate and I get this error. Maybe something in my database is wrong? How can we fix this?

Can someone please help me out?

I am giving up. Disabled all plugins and still getting this error when I press “Activate” in the plugin list. Hope support will answer soon.

I just tried the troubleshoot mode, but there is no “Activate plugin” for Yoast when this mode is active…

I removed Yoast, support is to slow for something that breaks your website and which you pay a great amount of money for. Moved on to an alternative.
