Hi, I have some CDs set up as Buy 2 Get 1 Free. This coupon has worked for years. And it’s suddenly not working. I put three of the cds in my cart. It should automatically only charge for two of them. But when I attempt to check out, I get an error message “There are some issues with the items in your cart. Please go back to the cart page and resolve these issues before checking out.” Nothing has changed except possibly that my hosting company – WP Engine upgraded to a higher MySQL.

If you visit this page – https://www.theaudubonshop.com/product-category/cds-and-dvds/ – and pick 3 of the following 5 cds – American Woodland 1 Audio CD, American Woodland 2 Audio CD, American Woodland 3 Audio CD, Rainforest Dawn Audio CD, and Springtime at Stony Creek Audio CD – then attempt to check out, you’ll get this error:

“There are some issues with the items in your cart. Please go back to the cart page and resolve these issues before checking out.”

    Please help. Thanks so much.

P.S. I turned off all of my plugins except the WooCommerce plugins and I changed my theme from Beaver Builder to 2023. And it’s still happening. Please help!

    Hi @pagan11460,

I’ve added all of the products you listed above and it seems to work fine for me. I get the coupon and can get to the checkout page all right: https://www.loom.com/share/6357160fdb634d17a3ac8bf189cdf317

Does it happen to a certain user?

    hi, Fauzan,

Your video doesn’t show you trying to check out. It seems to work intermittently. My cart – using Safari browser – is now showing it working. I didn’t want to delete them and start over – so – instead – I used Firefox. And it did *not* work. Again I got the error message “There are some issues with the items in your cart. Please go back to the cart page and resolve these issues before checking out.” I get this error on this page: https://www.theaudubonshop.com/checkout/

I just tried to buy these CDs on my iPhone with the Safari browser and I received a different message. This one says “Sorry, it seems the coupon ‘buy2get1free’ is invalid – it has now been removed from your order.”

Underneath this message, it actually says “Coupon code applied successfully” but it hasn’t been applied successfully!!! It’s not working.

Fauzan, have you seen my reply above? My customer is losing money while this issue continues. Please help.

Fauzan, Can you let me know that you are still working on this issue?

    Hi @pagan11460,

I still couldn’t replicate the issue on my testing environment so it must be caused by something on your settings or a third-party plugin.

When you said “Your video doesn’t show you trying to check out”, does it mean that I need to click the Place the Order button and complete the order?

If that’s the case, could you please send us more details via our support form here: https://advancedcouponsplugin.com/submit-support-ticket/

When you submit the form, please kindly add the link to this thread so I know it is from you. I’ll close this thread for now and wait your reply there.

Hi, Fauzan, Can you tell me…do I need to have both the free version of Advanced Coupons and the pro version activated on my site? Or can I delete the free version if I’m paying for the pro version? Also, I think I may have found the problem with The Audubon Shop. I’ll let you know if I’m correct.

Hi @pagan11460, thanks for checking in!

Yes, you do need both the free version and the Premium version installed and activated. You should see a notice whenever the Premium is activated but Free version is not present. This is because it uses many functions from the free plugin to reduce the codebase of Premium. They operate as one 🙂

    Hope this helps!
