Support » Plugin: OneSignal - Web Push Notifications » There ain’t no such thing as a free lunch

  • You better read the Privacy policy…

In my case, the API was injecting cookies that were related to not existing web resources (I guess for advertising or tracking) and actually that’s how I found a strange behavior. With no plugin implemented, it’s in the API.

As they say, “there ain’t no such thing as a free lunch.” Good luck and thanks, but no thanks!

  • Thanks for the heads up. I wonder why this is being overlooked. This is pretty damning information.

Has the author removed the malware from their API yet?

Hi. OneSignal does not load any malicious code. If you’re seeing this, please reach out to our support team and we can help investigate the cause.

Call it whatever you want, but I don’t agree with it, hence I don’t use your services anymore and I don’t need your help. But I won’t change my opinion.

Unauthorized cookies is horrible practice, whether you consider it “malicious code” or not, and with the new GDPR it is also ILLEGEAL! Use of this plugin opens websites up to fines related to the GDPR.
