Hosting optimized images on Jetpack’s server? Awesome! And other features sound really good too, but that this was developed by Automattic and does things like add a ton of scripts to every page, for services that aren’t even turned on, is a bit alarming.

The number of 1 star reviews shows that there is still a lot of work to do. The biggest issue I have is how Woocommerce Services is now part of Woocommerce’s setup, and that plugin requires Jetpack, so tons of sites are likely to experience tons of issues and not realize that all of this is the culprit. Just spent two weeks sorting out a problem where taxes were being added, even after the plugins were deleted….and taxes through Woocommerce Services/Jetpack were never even turned on in the first place. Had to reinstall both plugins and delete them again to get it to sort itself out. ๐Ÿ™

    Hi Nathan,

I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience with Jetpack and Woo, but thanks for passing the feedback!

It seems like you eventually sorted the problem, however we’re happy to review it and the steps you took to see if there’s anything we can implement to make sure that won’t happen again.

Happy to go through that in detail as well: if you spotted something in particular to tackle, please don’t hesitate to show it to us so we can take a look ๐Ÿ™‚
