Theme.zip upload doesn't work

    Guys, check if your .zip doesn’t contain hidden files, like DS_Store on Mac or Thumbs.db on Windows. Remove those files from the .zip and you are good to go!

    I’m having a similar issue – after removing the DS_Store files, the invalid format tells me it’s missing a file in the wysija folder with the following directory: temp_541a1aca85c1ff670165//__MACOSX/style.css

    Move your style.css to outside the folder not allowed folder __MACOSX and then remove this folder.

    I just ran into this problem and I had no hidden files.

    My resolution was to upload the newsletter theme folder (not zip) directly to: /wp-content/uploads/wysija/themes/

    Then it worked.
