ThemeSwitcher – Select by directory rather than CSS file Theme Name

  • The ThemeSwitcher plugin can be very slow to load via URL when there are a large number of themes. I’m thinking this might be caused by having to scan the CSS files for theme name. Is it possible to adjust the plugin so that it selects by theme directory, rather than by Theme Name in the CSS file? This would also solve the problem of themes which have the same name since the directory has to be unique.

  • Okay. Figured out how to do this. Just delete the Theme Name: line in the stylesheet and then it loads by directory. Seems to load a lot faster too.
