  • Hi all
    I use “bedroom with magazines hoe007” theme and I would like to make it wider /1200px/, since its only 800px wide.
    I changed width here:
    /* begin Box, Sheet */
    overflow: hidden;
    margin: 0 auto;
    position: relative;
    z-index: 0;
    width: 1200px;

    But as you can see header picture is still 800px. Where can I make the header pic. wider?
    Thanks a lot

  • In your css .nav, div.Header, and div.Header-jpeg are all still set at 798px.

    Of course just making div.Header-jpeg wider will not make the image itself wider. You will need to upload a wider image.

    use a tool such as Firebug to identify which styles to edit;

    for instance, there is a section: /* begin Header */

    but there will be more…

    if this fails, go through style.css line-by-line an look for fixed widths formats in the region of 800px;

    and last but no least, you need to edit the header background image in the images folder of your theme:

    Thanks a lot guys.
    Well, I upload 1200px wide header.jpg, also in the css changed the width to 1200px, but still not working very well. Please check my URL again.

    As alchymuth said, you need to find and change all the instances of fixed width that apply to full width different sections of the page…there are many (nav, header, content, footer)… Try using search for “width” on the stylesheet to find them all.

    I think, Ive got it! Thanks again guys. You have been really helpful!

    One more thing. On the index page I get: NOT Found sign. Why is that? Thanks
