# Themes updates

 * Hello,
 *  I would like to ask you the following hopefully you can help me:
 * a. Let’s say wordpress parent theme got updated to latest available so child 
   theme got access to new improvements from it.
 * If I Restore an old backup(whole website) before latest parent theme update, 
   would I still have access to those improvements from latest parent theme update
   or is not the case?
 * Thank you !

 * If you restore the older version of the parent theme, then you have the older
   version. So, if you need to do that, do the restore then update the parent as
   usual.

 * thing is that for some reason everytime I update to a parent theme latest version,
   code written in child theme does not longer function.
 * So I thought if restore previous backup then child theme works again, but I am
   not sure if would I be able or not to get parent theme latest version “improvements”?

 * If that’s the case, I suspect that your child theme is not properly written.
