We have created a website via SiteGround and used WordPress.
We want to create a platform for uploading videos and events and saw the packages with unlimited video hosting.
Is it possible to use a community theme like Cinematix? Or will this only work with the included themes? And are there any community or media themes available?
Is it possible for subscribers to upload videos? Can we make an upload form/button to make it easier for them?

    Pleased to hear.

    Hi @fenna4498

The subscribers would need to be given permissions on the site to upload the videos, and the best way for uploading videos is to upload them directly to the media library of your site and then add them to a post. Because of that, it would be difficult to give subscribers access to do that.

    Hi @bruceallen,

Thank you for your quick reply!
It’s not possible to create an upload button and uploading screen? If they click on browse file, this is not linked to the media library of WordPress automatically? Is there another option to create a library for the uploads?
And can you also advise about the themes. We have seen some problems with plug-ins not working correctly with every theme. What about the times from Jetpack?

    Hi @fenna4498,

For videos to be uploaded to our servers, they have to be added in one of two ways:

    1. From and Add New
    2. In a site’s WP Admin, at Media → Library and drag the video directly to the Media Library.

The specifics of our video hosting in more detail can be found here:

There aren’t really any themes that change the way videos can be added to Jetpack Video – is that what you’re asking about? Jetpack Video isn’t super customizable due to the upload requirements that are necessary to get the files onto our server’s instead of your host’s.
