All themes or just some themes?

    all themes

this is my first time working with multisite so i am sure i am making a simple mistake

i also just activated buddypress and specified that it run on a particular subdomain and that is not working either

so it seems to me that somehow the subdomains are running independently of the main site and somehow they are not communicating…

Turn off ALL of your plugins (especially BuddyPress) for now. You make more work when you do more 🙂

Are all the sites listed on wp-admin/network/sites.php ?

What DOES show on their theme pages?

Very sorry it was a serious newb mistake …

I completely misunderstood how multisites work … i did a complete install for each of the subdomains in a directory in the server.
Thinking that multisites connect to existing installations.

I have since deleted each of those instalation and removed the ‘subdomains’ from the dns records … and it worked

though in the past hour it “diconnected from the server” and I can’t get it to reconnect … But I am guessing that is a matter of dns propogation?

    Thanks Ipstenu!

Possibly. Can you share your real URL?

    its up and running http://test.funinvestmentsagents.com

    I am having other problems:
    1) the activity page for buddypress is giving me the
Sorry, there was no activity found. Please try a different filter.
message … and i know that the status are being entered because i can see them on a profile just not in the activity

    2) i created another website based on this one using export/import but for some reason i cannot get the homepage to display using a static page …
This site did have mny pages with the same names as the import but i deleted them all before i imported not sure if that could have something to do with it.

Since this is resolved, I’m marking the post resolves.

For BuddyPress you should ask at buddypress.org

For the export/import, please make a new toppic 🙂
