– Check the error logs on your server for a more specific error message. If you need help locating them, ask your hosting provider to help you with that.
[Sun Oct 27 17:21:32 2013] [error] [client 68.60.67.99] File does not exist: /home/nhlpri5/public_html/leafscast.com/index.php, referer: http://leafscast.com/wp-admin/
That’s the last error message I received but I believe that’s because I removed WordPress completely, went to the site to make sure it was gone, then re-installed.
I installed a new theme and it started again. I went into the host and deleted the theme but it didn’t change anything back. I didn’t even activate the theme, simply uploaded and installed it.
What theme is this? any theme?
Right now it’s just on the default one. I uploaded Headway Themes. When it wasn’t working before it was Thesis. But I deleted every theme aside from the current one I’m using (2013 default one).
The problem is not about themes, it’s related to the very same wordpress 3.7/3.8 (alpha).
The only temporal solution is going back to version 3.6. Just install wp-admin and wp-includes from that old version by using your ftp software to upload them.
@hasmin – that’s not a good solution – using an old version of WP is a security risk. WP3.7 is not in beta.
@leafscast – can you try switching to a WordPress.org theme from your dashboard? Before you went back to twentythirteen, there were some errors showing on your site.
Thanks Hasmin. That’s exactly what I just did and it worked π I suppose I’ll wait to update until this problem is solved. Is there a way to find out when it’s solved & safe to update?
@wpyogi – Should I switch over to WP.org theme (by the way is that the twentythirteen one?) and then update WP? Or wait on that? I want to do this right π
Same problem here, only when it sends me back to the home page, it’s actually going to an unstyled version of the home page in the root folder (my install is in a subfolder at the moment).

I get this behavior when I click any of these three:
1. Plugins
2. Updates
3. Themes
For me, this did turn out to be a hosting issue. InMotion hosting had a line in the .htaccess file that was forcing PHP 5.2. That line needed to be commented out, and now everything works fine.
I originally had just downgraded back to 3.6.1 and it solved my problem. 3.7.1 came out and decided to see if anything would change…it hasn’t. Still same problem with the Installed Plugins page going to a 404. I checked with my Host to see if there was any issues with the htaccess and they said there wasn’t.
Not sure where to go from here, other than to downgrade…again :/
Interestingly enough, I solved the problem. My site Leafscast.com is an add-on domain to my host website NHLPrimeTime.com. I had yet to update NHLPrimetime’s wordpress account but as soon as I did, all my problems were solved on LeafsCast. Weird but I’ll take it!
