I was running my WordPress blog on WordPress.com and decided to port it over to my own hosting on Godaddy.
The problem I am running into is that the theme I’m using (Greyzed) functions differently on .org than on .com, not sure why this would be.
One of the features of the theme is dropdown menus at the top, and they work on my wordpress.com version, but not on the .org version. I have deleted/reinstalled the theme and reinstalled wordpress. Also tried disabling all plugins. I saw someone else post with the same problem but their topic was vague and got no responses.
I also have an error on .org under ‘Menus’ that says:
“The current theme does not natively support menus, but you can use the “Custom Menu” widget to add any menus you create here to the theme’s sidebar.”
This error is not present on the .com version.
EDIT: I contacted the developer, it seems the version of the theme available on WordPress.com is newer than the version available for WordPress.org. The new wordpress.org version with menus hasn’t been approved yet.
The topic ‘Theme works on WordPress.com but not with .org’ is closed to new replies.
