theme won't upload on xampp

    I have installed WP on xampp and all working fine but when I try to upload a theme in the normal way via the dashboard as a zipped file I get the result; “Are you sure you want to do this?” and it wont install.

    Ports are open all running fine on 2010.

    Anyone any ideas?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    No plugins activated, it is a fresh install and working perfectly in 2010 but simply will not upload the zipped theme in the normal way.

    Could be a problem with your localhost setup. The simplest solution is to just download the them to your machine, unpack the archive and drop the theme’s folder in wp-content/themes.
