  • Hi, I am using the latest version of WordPress (4.8.1) and the latest version of Celestial – Lite (3.5.5). I have tried on both FireFox and Chrome to update the Copyright notice under
    “Basic Settings” for Celestial – Lite (3.5.5).

    How do I get the Copyright notice to update? (Unable to change, add, or delete any of it.)

    Hi @audio-geek,

    YOu can change it directly from customizer. For this follow this following steps:
    Go to dashboard -> appearance -> customize -> Basic setting -> input text for copyright text.

    That is how it’s supposed to work – it does not work.

    I have tried multiple times on both FireFox and Chrome to update the Copyright notice under “Basic Settings.” Running Celestial – Lite (3.5.5).

    Hi, I can’t give you an answer but a suggestion; do you have any plug-ins that might be affecting things for you?

    I ask because I’ve not used the “basic settings” fields to load my copyright details as I’m using “Footer Putter” and when that’s loaded it provides access to the fields via a new menu option.

    FWIW I found that in some other part of my website a plug-in I used (I forget which) was conflicting with another one and causing me grief, so I switched the lot off and brought them back one by one to identify the problem.

    So perhaps you’ve got some conflict somewhere.

    I was unsure whether that meant the fields weren’t taking the data, or that when you did input the data and saved your updates and then refreshed your website, that new data wasn’t showing.

    Linking into that comment, a final thought, & this has caught me out before; have you cleared your cache or viewed your website via an incognito browser, because sometimes you’ll end up thinking a change hasn’t taken, when in fact it has.

    As usual, post back if you’re still stuck – I’m sure others can help.
