    Hi there,
I just installed this nice WP theme/template and with my great surprise once activated it looks like the css file or something is missing. The folder I uploaded is the only one provided, and it’s the correct one with the .css files and so forth.
    You can see it here.

I installed the theme on my localhost and then it finally looked just as it should. I don’t understand how can that be possible as the process I took was exactly the same straightforward process you do to install a new theme and the fils exactly the same.

I just freshly installed the last version of wordpress on the server and absolutely didn’t touch anything in it. I haven’t even created any post or pages or anything like that. Once activated the theme, the blog on the server looks really messed up.

I even tried to use it on other servers, but the results was exactly the same.

Anyone has an idea of what might be causing such a problem?
Any help will be highly appreciate.

Unless you provide a link to a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of specific help.

    I though I did post the link…

    500 Server Error

A misconfiguration on the server caused a hiccup.
Check the server logs, fix the problem, then try again.

How did you get that link??

Clicking on the URL on top http://www.zatoonrecords.com/blog/ I can see the link fine.
If you try to delete all that junk after blog/ I think you should be able to see it.

I tried to check your theme’s CSS files and that’s the error that was displayed. Something is wrong in the theme or with your .htaccess/permalinks. Have you tried switching to the default theme?

    Thanks esmi.
Yes, either the default theme and the other themes I installed are displaying correctly.
I doubt there’s a problem with the theme CSS file because locally it works just fine.

This is why this thing is driving me crazy and I can’t understand where the problem might be.

There is a problem with the theme. It may be caused by a particular server configuration but one of your stylesheet calls is resulting in a 500 error.

I don’t see the server error that you see.
I contacted the people that created the theme and they say that works for them and never seen that problem.
The question is how can a working theme (works locally for me, works for other people that they’ve been using it) is faulty on several servers with a freshly installed WP version?
I don’t know where to start from to address this issue, but I’m pretty confident that the theme is not broken, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to see it and use it locally.

    OK. I got it.
I created a zip file of my theme and uploaded from the dashboard theme uploader.
Everything looks the same to me but I guess that did the trick.
