theme upload from pc

    hi i have recently purchased a theme from theme forest which is a word press compatible theme. when i try to upload the zip file from my computer to my website it says connecting but doesn’t do anything after that. i was wondering if anyone could help with this problem? thank you.

    Hi, Do you have FTP access to your site? In that case you can unpack the zip file and just upload the theme folder.

    Tip: themeforest theme zips often contain more than just the theme. So I would unpack the zip and see if there is maybe a zip included inside which contains the theme.

    Possibly there is a help file included in the zip, if so that might contain specific install instructions.

    (if you need theme specific advise then you should contact the builder of your theme on themeforest.)

    Could it be that the server closes the connection bevore u fully transmitted the theme? Happens with large files.
